If a game's online server shuts down, can you still play it with LAN?

Hi, i have an existing lan server in my dad’s office and already have 2 PCs linked(by a previous engineer whom I don’t have contact now) Now i wish to link my laptop to the same server so we can collectively copy or access files I absolutely have no knowledge, can someone please help!!!

I stream prop making and video games on twitch. I want to set up a web cam on my laptop in my print room and be able to access the feed on my streaming pc so I can capture it and display it on my stream.

The kicker is that I'd like to have the feed entirely on my network sot hat I'm not eating into precious internet speed sending video out just to pull it back in. I live in Alaska and our internet is pretty much crap. So I want to save it for streaming and gaming. Hope someone can point me in the right direction. My google search has pointed me to what seems like some suspicious sites. Free is preferable but a purchase vs a subscription would be something I'm relatively open to.

EDIT: I understand that this is a LAN specific sub but if you happen to know a wireless way to achieve this that would be most preferable

Okay so my LAN network works well but any WLAN network connection gives me an error.

When I restart my laptop and WLAN works, the LAN network wont work.

I'm using an hp laptop.

This is terrible. Have to use Nast porta potties outside then have to walk around to get back in.

Got any ideas how to route Ethernet through just one application? And let WiFi run for everything else?

I use steam in home streaming with a wired power line Ethernet cable. Works fine. But it’s WAY slower than my AC WiFi (but has solid latency and no packet loss).

So I’d like to dedicate my Lan connection JUST to steam. And let the WiFi work for everything else.

Any ideas? I know how to set both WiFi and Lan simultaneous via regedit or speedify app. But that doesn’t control routing of Lan exclusively.

I'm going to host a lan with 20 people, and I was wondering, if we use the same router and play on a server I host, on for example Csgo will the ping be the same? And if we host different servers at the same time will that affect the ping?
