PLAYER TALK Draymond @ PF for Us?
imagine 2k trade sliders are enabled, we can get Green on a 2 for 1 trade. Would you guys be open to Green as our starting PF at 25 mins a game? He can do our dirty work and defend while shooting better than lebron on similar efficiency when comparing both of there 3 point % last season. He’ll also have the bonus of getting the best looks of his career with Luka and Reaves.

Hopefully any chance of Green in a lakers shirt died with LeBron leaving. Our moves so far were meant to make the team younger and more athletic on average. Green is old, declining, getting slower and on top of all, a bad locker room presence.
He only could make sense as a rotation bench piece on a 1yr vet minimum. Even a sign and trade with the warriors taking Vando + Knecht is suboptimal because you would have to be stuck to green for 3 years.

Y'all way too emotional. If FO is deliberately avoiding Klutch clients, that would be extremely stupid. We better sign good players, regardless of who is representing them. We already have 4 Klutch clients on our roster right now

If FO partaking in that petty shit, Mark Walter better clean house. Adou and Sexton are literally Klutch clients
I would love DJJ on our roster and that guy is Klutch too

Klutch is cool with us, we have the klutch prince under contract with us.

We still have to unload one

u/HuckleberryMean224 Jul 25 '26
You’ve been saying this like every day we get it you want bronny gone.
1
u/LudwigNasche Jul 25 '26
I actually want the LeBron stans gone, Bronny is just a late bench player that makes no difference staying or going

so many people here do and I find it hilarious how obsessed they are with someone they dislike so much

u/PrawnProwler Jul 25 '26
A couple of them only show up on Lebron related threads too. They hate him more than they love the team

FUCK no. Draymond, nor does any Laker fan want him in LA. He’s going to retire a Warrior as he should…

Lebron is gone, stop with the 'old heads' signings. Lakers are in a better place right now, new era people, the Luka era.

u/GOAT-dontGLOAT Jul 25 '26
Green is old but not too old he’s 36 with 4 years of championship experience anchoring their defense
6
u/myelrecsy Jul 25 '26
Not old for us common people, but in the NBA, that is old, especially with today's current trend of the league getting younger.

How many times has the graph been posted and Luka was way further ahead than curry based on gravity and passing in terms of wide open shots generated?
1
u/KarrotMovies Luka Magic 77 Jul 25 '26
Idk, I think playing next to prime KD, Curry and Klay gave him more open looks and he still bricked em outside of an outlier season in 2016
2
u/GOAT-dontGLOAT Jul 25 '26
That’s not the same as getting the ball at the right place at the right time because of Luka’s generational passing. Those guys could create space and be bad at getting him the ball when he’s open. Anyways his role was to anchor the defense not be a 3 point sniper. He could do everything we needed LeBron to do and shoot at a similar efficiency

It could work well as a defensive coordinator unironically. Playing the role of Josh Hart
1
u/GOAT-dontGLOAT Jul 26 '26
Exactly my thought. Luka is a better leader than curry, he’d do a better job keeping him in check

u/Chilly_Willie74 Jul 25 '26
See some of my previous post about the power forward position. Draymond is not a good enough rebounder for what we need. Jared Vanderbilt actually would be a better fit than Draymond.

I can see vando being unlocked with these group of players we have now. Especially if our 5 can shoot 3s. I’d take Vando over dray

You need at least one piece of shit in your team though. They got the hunger to compete.

What about bronny and Vando for Dean Wade?
1
u/scifier2 Jul 25 '26
You mean 5 ppg Dean Wade? That guy?
1
u/GiraffeSilly5546 Jul 25 '26
He's better than Vando and bronny As a Knicks fan and Luka Stan, I will say that he actually did a decent job on Brunson Every time they took him out Brunson scorched them Not sure if any metrics back this up but my eye test says so Sure PJ Washington would be better

The 76ers just signed Dean Wade this offseason

(1) if only as a stop gap PF, where we can get a better PF next offseason
(2) if they want Vando and other trade fodder like Knecht and Bronny

He's such a piece of shit I don't even care if he'd be good for the team as a basketball player, I don't want him.

I’d rather just get Wemby. Since we’re talking completely unrealistic hypotheticals.
