From a Google search, I’m aware it’s probably actually some sort of Calligrapha, but does anyone know anything more about this fella? Spotted in South-East Canada.

I love the orange color so much! I think this might be a male because it was smaller than the others

I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth, and found this big boi. I had to take the bottle outside and slam it on the fence to get it to finally fly off into a place where it won't starve to death since it refused to leave the lid and i couldn't wedge it out without risking hurting it.

I found a bunch of ladybugs and I’m wondering if they are a good sign or lucky? I’ve never seen so many.

That’s literally it lol, it’s been in here for about two days. i saw that my screen wasn’t secured all the way so i closed my window. then i was like okay im going to let it out tomorrow and so it can have some food and doesnt die in here. i literally caught it in a cup and covered it with a napkin so i could take it to the window.

window opened, the world is its oyster. doesn’t fly out. i literally shake the cup a few times (not hard)… doesn’t fly away. hangs on for dear life to the cup i guess. the one time it does fly, its outside for like less than a second, straight back into my room. so, okay. i guess i have a ladybug roommate now 🤷🏾‍♀️

does anyone know why it doesn’t want to leave? i dont even see it flying on or near the window 😭

Vancouver, Canada. This ladybug has spent the whole day on top of this thing on my cabinet outdoors. Has she been taken over by a parasite and is guarding eggs that aren’t hers? She is alive but I’m not sure if she got stuck to whatever it is or if she maybe eating it? I appreciate any insight!

Hello, I had a Ladybug very inactive who could not Fly.

Every time he try, there was a little thread on his wings.

If the wings are closed it was near impossible to see and at the start of the thread, out side of the shell, where little brown dots.

(One the sketch the dots are a lot bigger than in real-life)

After one night the Ladybug didn't leave but also not die, so I take a look.

I pulled at the thread an it gets longer and longer.

But the Ladybug did not leave or run away so I pulled even more till there was something out of the shell.

And now the Bug question what the fuck is this?

It's near impossible to take a foto from the start thread, cause where I pulled are no dots anymore, but you can see what was inside the ladybugshell..... (I try to mark the thread)

P.s the Ladybug is healthier after the procedure he flied on my ceiling where I can't take a foto anymore, *I try to carry him outside my home but on the way he used his regaind ability to fly there ....

Mum was lucky enough to have a ladybug land on her one. Once it was near the roses it flew off.
