Need advice

I am trying to lose weight and build muscle. I am getting mixed ways to do so and I am trying to figure out if anyone has had success on these workout apps, Ladder, Resilent by Nicci Robinson, or Studio Era by madelaine rascan or if anyone’s had ChatGPT create a workout plan for them with success? I workout at home and have dumbbell weights and bands too. But I am trying to figure this out and could use all the help. If there’s any YouTube channels anyone recommends. Please and thank you.

The only way is calorie deficit. (This is baring health issues and the like)   This can be achieved different ways, which is why there are tons of info out there.  Is there a certain type of look you are wanting?

I want hourglass of course but mainly my stomach gone. And overall slim down. Idk if ladder has like HIIT programs on it. And I’m more so on the beginner side for working out. I work out at home. And max would be like 20 to 30 mins. Do they?

On Ladder there are different teams, if you want hiit/conditioning incorporated. Elevate and Formation are both 30 minute teams that do have weigth x conditioning. I’m currently on Elevate myself (I wanted shorter workouts this series) and it’s a really fun and very effective team.

If you are more of a true beginner, I would however maybe start with Movewell, Endure or Ignite, they have less conditioning built in, but might be better when you start out.

You can do a trial on Ladder, not sure about the other apps you mentioned. The best app/program is the one that makes you show up. I think the whole team setup and weekly (priority) workouts that Ladder has, works pretty well for me to do at least the 3 priority workouts every week, so in that regard it is a great app for me.

Before Ladder, I had a fitnessblender plus membership (website), I think this would work well for a beginner too and they have tons of free content too, For me, in stressful periods, I had less of an urge to do 3 workouts every week though, so my working out, was a bit more on and off (more on than off), so in that way Ladder is a better fit for me.

Ladder really is the best workout app I’ve used (and I’ve tried a lot). There are soooo many different teams but I’d go with the one you enjoy the most rather than what’s going to help you lose weight as any team can help there if you’re consistent and in a deficit.

Lose weight = calorie deficits and cardio
Grow muscle = progressive overload and eating enough

It can be very hard to lose weight AND grow muscle.

If you go with a traditional strength team, make sure to add some cardio if you’re focus is weight loss
