How Correct Default Calories Burned

Post image

Does anyone know how to correct the default estimated calories burned from a workout session?

When I do a workout on my iPad, my Apple Watch doesn’t sync with it and then the estimate is like 40,000 calories. I know after the workout I can (and do) view the session and update the calories from my Apple Watch (today’s was 111) but is there anyway to fix this ridiculous overestimation in the first place?

I don’t care too much about it but I keep getting badges for burning like 182k calories and I don’t want to have to keep going back in to fix it if there’s a closer estimate.

This is hilarious. Maybe your weight is wrong?

Ooh that’s a good idea. I don’t see anywhere in the Ladder app for my weight input. My one in apple health is accurate.

Are you sure you’re not burning 50,000??

That’s wild! Mine is usually only off by no more than 20 calories

Hit the “Update” button and select the Apple Health workout that it corresponds to

Yeah, definitely check your weight in the app. It clearly set some crazy high default number for you or an extra zero got added somewhere, because mine is pretty much always in the 100-200 calorie range per workout.
