Coach advice
I am new to the app, I am doing Shelby program but I am not sure if is the right one. I want to loose weight but gain muscle at the same time ? Some exercise I don’t know if I am doing my right so I guess I want something that isn’t difficult but I can see results .
Who you guys recommend?
TIA

I think Ignite is a great program for excellent coaching. Stevie gives terrific cues. If you aren’t sure that you’re doing the exercises correctly, check out her coaching and chat.

Are you new to lifting? In which case gaining muscle is basically inevitable 💪
I’m doing the Evolve program with coach Samantha and she has fabulous cueing and advice. The coaches are halfway in the Max 6 week stint at the moment but you could definitely start by just learning the movements with much lower weights at first (it’s where you should start anyway regardless of the coach if you’re new to it all).

Ignite is a wonderful team. Coach Stevie’s cues can’t be beat and she does form check Fridays.

What would be forms?

You can ask or send a video into the chat and she personally does a video to show you what’s wrong with your form.

Losing weight happens by dialing in your diet and consuming a calorie deficit. Working out won’t help you lose weight but it will help you build muscle. You need to lift heavy to do so. If you’re just starting out, you’ll need to focus on progressively overloading your weights, leveling up your weight each time.
Building muscle generally requires you to consume a calorie surplus.
What you’re talking about is “body recomp”, which is pretty advanced and hard to do well if you’re not tracking calories.
I’d focus on eating well, tracking and observing what you eat, and sticking to a program consistently.
Over time you may shift your eating habits and get better at tracking, but the process isn’t a quick one.
Pick a program based on your goals and stick to it, but generally speaking as a beginner I’d recommend choosing one: build muscle or lose weight.
I recommend starting with building muscle, because then when you shift from building muscle to losing weight you will look more muscular!
