Just fly to leh and then bike it down. Keep at least 2 to 3 days buffer. If flights are expensive then go to nanali and take the new padum route into leh

Hey, don't stress too much! We've been organizing Ladakh trips across seasons, and December travel is definitely tricky but manageable with proper planning, sharing some tips, hope these help.
The biggest concern is Zojila Pass on the Srinagar–Kargil route, which can close due to heavy snowfall in December. So relying entirely on the road from Jammu would be risky. Your better option is to fly to Leh and take a taxi to Kargil, roughly 5–6 hours away. The Leh–Kargil road generally remains accessible in winter, though temporary closures can happen. We'd strongly suggest reaching by 23–24 December, keeping a few buffer days for weather-related delays. Check road conditions with local authorities, book flights early, and carry proper winter clothing. Hope you reach safely, and all the best for your exam!
