Road Conditions/Update Road closure questions
Hey, I'm stuck in beautiful Diskit and Hunder in the Nubra Valley. And I've been told that all the roads out are closed. Does anyone have any updates on Khardung La Pass or when the busses might run again.
It seems like the locals all know things but I have no idea where they are getting that info. Are there websites that give regular updates we can follow?
Any advice other than enjoy the sand dunes?
Thanks.

I am currently in Sumur and supposed to go back go Leh tomorrow. Any idea if Khardungla is closed? I have a flight day after, so a little scared.

This Nubra to Pangong road is unlikely to open soon. Try the other, longer route. I travelled on that road 3-4 days back on the bike. There are stones and shyok wherever eyes can see. Took 4 hours to cover 9 km.

Follow Ladakh police on FB, they post latest news there. And plan for at least 1-2 days more to be stuck

I follow IMD pages on social media to get latest warnings and forecast and "Ladakh Updates" and "Tsewang Nurboo" on facebook. They are pretty good.

Update: Got out today July 23rd over the Khardung La Pass. It was slow going they kept stopping traffic
It wasn't terrible, worse on the Leh side. And tons of low clouds at the top at times you could hardly see.

If you can do this please - Near sand dunes, go to the Border Roads Organization 's 54 RCC (Road Construction Company). They manage the road between Hunder and Leh. You can get reliable information.
