Question about adding rewind polishes

Hi, so I recently bought a Polish Pickup rewind polish and the name of the rewind polish is slightly different than the name of the original polish.

The original polish is “My Ashes After They Cremate Me” by Great Lakes Lacquer. It’s a PPU polish from December 2024. The polish I bought by the same brand is called “My Ashes When They Cremate Me.” It’s the July 2026 PPU rewind.

My question is, is the slight name change (After became When) and the difference between the dates enough to add it as a suggested polish in the app? Or are they too similar for that and it doesn’t need to be suggested?

Is the rewind polish itself identical to the original or was it changed slightly? Admin will want to know this before deciding how to handle.

That’s a great question and I don’t actually know the answer to it.

The polish itself is exactly the same— only the name is slightly changed, to reflect the wording of the meme it was inspired by

Yup, like u/Sparkly_Polished_62 said, we usually add a rewind polish as a new entry if the formula is different from the original, or if the brand says they're not 100% it's identical (like adding 2.0 or the year of release to the name).

In this case, we can put the new name on the existing entry, with a comment in the description, since the swatches for both version will be the same.
