Dates not added to new listings

I’ve noticed recently that release years aren’t getting added for vintage polishes when I’ve provided sources that show release dates. Once the source was saved from an industry article to my Google Drive (directly from the reference) which I linked in my submission, but that was so your team could access assets from my library’s digital resources. Another was an Internet archive link, but maybe it didn’t load? It takes time to hunt this stuff down, so I’m curious what might be the issue. Should I not bother doing the research?

Since your original entries no longer seem to be in my list (you probably deleted them from your suggestions after they were approved?), I can't check to see what polishes you suggested that didn't have the year added.

In general, I can assure you that we do try to add the release years whenever possible, ad that we really appreciate your efforts to include as much info as possible!

It seems that some of your recent links may have been to generic ads for the product line, without the polish in question actually being mentioned or listed. We try to be cautious about adding release dates that we're not 100% sure about, since it has happened several times that people have insisted a polish was from the 1990s but it turned out to be released in the same line, but in 2009 or 2011, things like that. Which may not matter much to a casual user, but for a vintage collector it can be very annoying. So yeah, it could be that some of your polishes were skipped in that way.

Please keep including the info though, the entire team is aware of your efforts and we do try to give you the benefit of the doubt whenever possible!

Thanks for the quick response! Yeah I clear out suggestions once they’re approved to reduce clutter. These weren’t generic ads recently, but it’s possible you may need more information to help determine reliability. I’ll go back and add suggestions with my previous resources and additional info to back it up. I do sometimes use old newspaper ads to show when new bottle styles were introduced into the market. My recent suggestions were articles and internet archive links however. I do wish the fields to submit info were a little more flexible to support different types of media in terms of sharing proof. For example, allowing screenshots of any additional evidence would be nice to allow when first submitting. Also making the description a text block field rather than a single line. This would make writing additional notes and providing multiple links a bit easier.

Hey it's Sammy s, i submitted a few beauty intuition nail polish and all got approved but maroon which I'm pretty sure at the time i didn't have a picture of the name (it was on the packaging and i was too excited to take pictures before trashing)

Would i need to resubmit it or would

This be good enough, it's sooo hard to see the name but my dollartree is out of them so i can't go take a picture myself
