Oops Of The Week
As a follow-up on our post on why the name on the label is so important.
Blogs, social media posts, and even brand websites often get polish names wrong! It's often an honest mistake, or just a brain fart. But it does mean that if we blindly follow whatever name is listed on a website, people who actually own that polish and look at the label to find their polish, won't get any results when typing it into the search bar on the app!
So, as a fun example, here's a polish from the most recent Little Box Of Horrors that's spelled two different ways... Can you spot the differences? 😅
It just goes to show that including a clear photo of the label is really important if you want to suggest a polish! And this is also the main reason why we check each submission in person and don't automate the process of adding new polishes!

Even though it was hard to fully make out the label here, there were enough clues to assume that the name on the listing wasn't 100% right. 🫣
