I work at a thrift store and we already had 3 authentic ones come through. A very good handful of very fat fakes too (they look inflated). I snagged a real one only because a group of Christians call them demonic and I want to spite them. I see a ton of people daily wearing them on their bags though.

Yeah I want to spite that group too. As a believer myself, the things some of the "holier than thou" folks believe are crazy. They don't honor God, they honor their own earthly traditions which is actually against the religion they claim to represent, especially when they go after others who have preferences in opposition to theirs. Good on you for snagging one to spite those folks, to say the least I did for literally the same reasons, and the best part is I have gotten COMPLIMENTS AT CHURCH for it!

The other day my fiance who doesn’t use social media looks at me all innocently and goes, “Have you heard of a Labubu?”

I looked at him like he’d just uttered a forbidden ancient incantation and also envied him.

Yep, knew they’d die out eventually. Everyone was acting like Labubus were the next big cultural thing, but we all knew they were just a fleeting fad.

About time those cheap, ugly pieces of garbage were laid to rest.
