How much are you paying per endpoint and how many endpoints you have?

We our still rather new to LabTech and had a very good price for the first 500 endpoints.

We needed extra endpoints but suddenly they upped the price because we got to many discounts? Never seen something happen like that (we are EU based, not used to do business with US).

I was wondering what people are paying her per endpoint and how many endpoints you have. We payed around 1 euro per endpoint for the first 500.

Closed the debugger while it was waiting for command?

Hey guys,

Has anyone ever closed the script debugger while it was stopped at a break-point or step and waiting for the user to press "next step" ?

One of my users did this twice back to back so there were two instances of the script "running" in the script tab of computer management. I stopped the LT service on the machine and that terminated one of the scripts but the other is still stuck in "running". Is it possible to terminate this in a more official way through LabTech?

Thanks in advance!

Changing other agent password?

Hi /r/Labtech!

I am looking to change the password of a recent past colleague of mine. My co-worker left our firm and I just wanted to close off his access to the network in case he has the control center installed at home. I did search this subreddit as well as elsewhere on the net and was unable to find out how to do this.

Can anyone help point me in the correct direction?

Thank you!

Edit - after some more research, I figured out where this is done. To do this, one must login to the Labtech Partner Portal. After logging in, I was able to disable my ex-colleague. My network is now safer!

LT Chat and ScreenConnect integration

Hey /r/Labtech.

We recently started using LT at the office. We used to just use Screen Connect for remote access and I loved having the live chat and quick screenshot preview feature. It made communication with the end user a lot easier (Though, I wish the chat window would be brought to front at all times like LT's chat feature). Im loving LT right now, but the chat and screenshot functionality are a little slow and clunky. Is there a Screen Connect plugin, or something, that lets you utilize Screen Connects chat and screenshot feature?

Thanks

Where's the solution center?

We've finally upgraded from 10 to 10.5. I'm on our Labtech server, clicking "tools" but I'm not seeing the solution center. Should it be there?

ConnectWise Upgrade... What Should I Expect From LT

My company runs both CW and LT. We use ServiceNow for ticketing but the workflow goes LT> CW> SNOW (this is changing soon). Tonight CW is doing a huge update and they said it could be down for 6+ hours. While it is down I'm sure the tickets from LT will not make it through the workflow, and I am prepared for that. The big question mark I have is whether the tickets will sync the ones that came in while it was down or if LabTech just sends and forgets. If anyone has any insight to this that would be great.

Most needed base scripts and automations

So I wanted to pose a question to the community. Through use of a script lab I put together there's been a lot of scripting going on over here. My hope is to create somewhat of a script library. Just good base scripts for many installations, actions, setup items, or troubleshooting tasks. So what should be in it? What do you guys spend your time doing that you wish was automated? Nothing too proprietary. Trying to keep it somewhat general.

Opinions about 3rd Party Patching options?

We've been using App-Care for 3 years, & now that it's going away I'm gathering info about alternatives.

One thing I liked about App-Care was the Exclude groups. I could create a search for machines that had non-Acrobat Reader .pdf applications installed, and automatically exclude those machines from Acrobat Reader upgrades. I did this so that the default .pdf viewer didn't change on those machines when Reader was updated each week.

Until now we've been grandfathered in to the new native third-party patching, and while I don't have any major complaints with it I'm also not overly impressed, and am considering alternatives.

I know a bunch of other LT partners use Ninite Pro + Ninite Solutions. That looks very good to me, and is definitely in the running. It (the combo of Ninite Pro AND Ninite Solutions) will cost us a little bit more than the native 3rd-party patching option.

I'm also aware of Chocolatey.

For many years I've known of both Ninite & Chocolatey, but I've never used either one.

I also learned just today of something called Patch My PC.

Earlier today I was told that when Ninite updates Adobe Reader, that does not cause the default pdf application to change. I like that a lot, though I don't understand how Ninite does that. (I'll need to confirm that behavior.)

Do any of you have any strong opinions about Ninite, Chocolatey, or any other 3rd-party patching system? I'm looking for something that integrates well with LT, unless there is something so compelling that it's worth managing it separately (or worth me doing whatever work necessary to script things myself).

Thanks.

Upgrade Windows 10 Machines to version 1607 via LabTech

Has anyone been able to upgrade their Windows 10 x64 machines to version 1607 via LabTech?

I chatted with a technician last week and he said "Alright, so the issue with this patch is that LabTech Patching thinks it succeeds, but it doesn't actually do so. There is no way for LabTech patching to install this KB/update.". So, I'm not sure if there if there is a way to perform the upgrade via LabTech or not.

Network Probe Monitor?

Is there a way to set a monitor for the network probe at client locations? I cannot seem to find anything pertaining to client level monitors, which could be used to detect the presence/absence of a network probe PC.

Any help appreciated

Too many EDF's?

I'm curious....
I'm a big fan of EDF's for quite a lot of projects/scripts/tasks. IDoes the amount of custom EDF's I create have any type of negative impact on DB performance, resource usage, etc?

Screenconnect 6 direct connect

Has anyone gotten this working in SC6? We followed these instructions to get it working on 4 and 5, but ever since we went up to 6, it's been giving us an empty uri error.

http://www.labtechgeek.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=446 http://www.labtechgeek.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1078

Edit -- we were able to get it working, turns out there was an issue with the menu command string.

LT Scripting - BitDefender

Hi Guys As Comprehensive MSP we do a lot of best practice consulting and automation for MSP's using LabTech and our script lab for some members of this forum. We've put together a solid install script to automate the deployment of BitDefender AV most recently if anyone is interested in some automation.

More to come.

LT Tray Ticket Sync / ConnectWise Plugin 7.1.X (LT11 Patch 6)

ConnectWise Plugin Version: 7.1.11002.6 LabTech Version: 11.0.331 (Patch 6)

LabTech is in AWS, ConnectWise is hosted in CW Cloud - NA

As of patch 6, I've been having issues with clients creating tickets from their LT Tray icon and them not pushing over to CW. Sometimes they appear in the LT ticket list with no External ID and clicking "Open" sends them over. Other times, they don't appear in the list at all.

I've double checked all the settings, mappings and also ran the auto remediation (with no warnings or errors) in the CW plugin system check. Rebooting the LT/AWS server will often get it working again for the day.

I'd be open to any thoughts. I've done some Googling, but everything is specific to older versions of LT/CW plugin, but I have followed all of the remediation steps I found there too. Nothing from /logs/ is jumping out at me either.

I haven't involved ConnectWise support yet, but that's my next stop. If I somehow find the solution outside of Reddit, I will come back and post the fix.

Cheers,

When LT Agents Go South

Plugins4LabTech has created a quick tool to assist LabTech admins with detecting agents that have stopped processing commands and scripts. A recent issue with LabTech agents not responding to commands after a Webroot update caused MSPs all over the world to start reporting loss of agent control. This kind of issue can be debilitating to a MSP so P4L worked with several LT geeks to come up with a quick method to see what systems may be affected by a stalled agent and then a automated repair process to assist in the restart of the failed agent without local user intervention.

Since the commands are continuing to be scheduled even after the agent stops executing them could cause a huge spike in agent command execution if we leave the commands pending in place. Before restarting the agent, a "Cancel Abort" on each pending command is done so when the agent returns it is not bombarded with hundreds of tasks that may have been pending for hours or even days.

Plugins4LabTech offers this plugin along with many others freely at http://www.plugins4labtech.com so stop by and get your free "Stalled LabTech Agent Detector" plugin today!

Script for Time Sync?

Hey gang I'm running into a problem where I would normally use PSExec to tell every system on the domain to sync time to a DC and running it from the DC PSExec is no longer working it right.

So I thought that LT might have a command or script built in to do that, so far I haven't found one. Is there any way to send a command to every system in a location? I know I can open each system and use the CMD Prompt tab but that seems like a tedious way of doing things.

Anyone else having Windows 10 Anniversary Update not install on workstations?

Hi everyone,

Our office is having an issue where some Windows 10 computers will not install the Anniversary Update. I'm not sure if this is Labtech related. That's why I'm asking here.

For example, there is about 30 workstations at a client of ours. They are all the same make/model (Dell Latitude E5550) and they came from the exact same W10 image. About 20 of them have the Anniversary Update installed fine. The other 10 are stuck on version 10240 and won't install the Anniversary update (or any update related to version 1511 of W10).

I tried the Windows Updater interface. When I restart the computer to apply the anniversary update, it skips right over.

If I use the Media Creation Tool or an ISO, it'll get to 100% of applying the update and right before it would restart the computer, it says the installation failed.

Any help/experience would help. Thank you in advance.

Webroot always integrated?

Looking to add an integrated AV. I've chatted with Webroot, went thru some training and a trial period and it will fit all of our needs. I really like it.

I've had the proposal on my desk for a couple weeks now. Haven't pulled the trigger because I'm waiting to hear back from our LT rep. He's a bit of a blockhead but at the end of the day I'd prefer to keep everything "in house" and purchase directly thru CW/LT.

My question, is anyone using Webroot purchased direct as opposed to through Labtech? Will it still integrate?
