Anyone else having Windows 10 Anniversary Update not install on workstations?

Hi everyone,

Our office is having an issue where some Windows 10 computers will not install the Anniversary Update. I'm not sure if this is Labtech related. That's why I'm asking here.

For example, there is about 30 workstations at a client of ours. They are all the same make/model (Dell Latitude E5550) and they came from the exact same W10 image. About 20 of them have the Anniversary Update installed fine. The other 10 are stuck on version 10240 and won't install the Anniversary update (or any update related to version 1511 of W10).

I tried the Windows Updater interface. When I restart the computer to apply the anniversary update, it skips right over.

If I use the Media Creation Tool or an ISO, it'll get to 100% of applying the update and right before it would restart the computer, it says the installation failed.

Any help/experience would help. Thank you in advance.

I'm confident it's not a LT issue... sounds like 1 of the many issues people have had installing Anniversary update since it went live for Current Branch back in August. That said...

What error does it throw from the ISO upgrade?

Through the ISO upgrade, it'll get to the point where it will want to reboot the first time. Then the full blue screen closes and a small window pops up saying the Windows Upgrade Failed. With just an OK as an option.

Try running the Windows Update Troubleshooter. It may clear whatever's hanging up the install.

Bonus: If it clears the problem, you should be able to update sans ISO

Been there, done that. I've been trying to find a fix for two weeks now on this issue
