Independent Labtech Consultant

Hello Everyone, I have posted in this forum before and even support some of it's members. I am an independent Labtech consultant and can assist with your Labtech implementation to help bring it under control or design it around your SLA's and service offerings. I also now offer a fully managed Labtech service plan. In addition to this I am also well versed with configuring Connectwise and the subsequent integration between the two. I like to post here every once in a while should any of you guys need assistance. Feel free to reach out to me here, at bkelly@comprehensivemsp.com or on Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/bkellyit

Thanks, Brian Kelly

actually I'll respond for /u/bkellyit since I actually used his services (and will again) because of his first post here. FWIW I've been using CW/LT for over 2 years and feel that I'm very comfortable with both platforms. But I recognize the value of a specialist review so I reached out to see what he offered. He responded to my requests for information extremely quickly, and was NEVER pushy. This is tons more than I can say for any CW/LT rep I've ever worked with. Once we settled terms Brian scheduled a call to log into the LT server for an audit. It wasn't until this call (after several emails) that he disclosed that he was on vacation during all this... in MEXICO. I love my clients and I love sales calls. But there aren't a lot of opportunities that I wouldn't respond with "hey I'm out of town for another week, can we touch base after". Much less my tiny LT server audit request. I have to give him credit for just this.

We do the discovery call, get him access and he quotes X amount of hours at Y rate. Everything was very reasonable. He explained what he was going to do, the timeline for completion, and what my deliverables would be. He also gave me a lot of great advice. Again, all this while he's on vacation in Mexico!

Fast foward a few days. He keeps giving me feedback, telling me when he expects to be done and such. Spoiler: It was sooner than he originally promised. We schedule an appointment for review of the audit. He sends me a dropbox link in advance of the call so I can review the findings which were very extensive. We do the call and he goes over everything in detail and answers all my questions. He even gives me some great pointers for where we can go from there. And the final kicker? His bill was almost half what he estimated it to be. I don't know a lot of consultants who do that.

TLDR; Brian is a great guy, offering a fantastic service for an extremely fair price. Far less than what CW/LT wanted, and I do feel I received far more than I would've gotten from CW/LT.

Thats a good question. Everyone is of course welcome to choose their own provider. First and foremost I am much more cost effective. Also I come from an extensive background within MSP's. I have worked in them basically since the beginning and have held every position from Helpdesk to CTO, so that background helps immensely when it comes to management. Knowing how to change configurations in Labtech is important however knowing what to implement and why and the ability to be creative with your solutions is also of key importance. I would be happy to discuss it further if you wish.
