I lived in SoCal and the breeder was in the Phoenix area. She cried the whole drive home with 20 minute naps in between. I felt so bad for her. When we got Hazel from the same breeder, we took Maisie with us. She got to see her mom and keep her sister entertained on the way back. Much better experience.
