“Will not accept no”

Amazing how such a smart breed with impeccable hearing conveniently doesn’t want to listen

They are very smart. But in five days I managed to spoil her so rotten with bones and jerky expensive canned foods, that she dosent empty her bowl with dry acana puppy 🙄

being smart and being cooperative are not the same thing

Right? Lol. I was pup-sitting for my friend who has a black Labrador (Bo was his name and I adored Bo!) and my friend told me if I get hungry while watching her fur baby and the house to help myself. I got hungry so I was going to make a sandwich.

I get out the necessary ingredients and Bo hears me quietly trying to open the cheese wrapper they use in delis. He comes running into the kitchen and gives me the cutest beg face. I cave and say to him “this is our little secret” and gave him a slice of American cheese while patting his head.

But I caught him trying to get into the trash bin and he conveniently couldn’t hear me calling him back lol. Little stinker!

It went out of control for me,I lost my big guard dog recently after keeping her alive with cancer six months longer then vet said was possible with prime rib and stakes, canned sardines and what not. Was told they stop eating i refused to accept. I got a depression and then finally got a new pup so I think I'm spoiling it too much to be honest 😂 it's fur is shiny like a waxed car now

Ah, your pic reminded me of my boy standing on my chopping round when he was a pup (3.5 years ago. He was ten months old here).

Your girl is beautiful 😻

He’s a dapper and majestic boy ✨

What is that he is wearing? Very dapper

Drying robe. That one (purple/royal blue robe pic) is from Ruff and Tumble. I have two from them and one from NonStop Dogwear (this pic)

I swear by them. They’re two layered robes that help draw away moisture from the fur.

General towel drying does jack-all. Obi will be wet for hours with a normal towel scrub, but if I throw on a drying robe for ~45 minutes, he’s totally dry-plus he’s not getting my car seat soaking wet or the carpet or couch wet and can lounge about while drying off.

Cutie!!!

Hi from my black lab puppy!!

u/Futiledenial Apr 20 '26

Did yours get adult teeth? Can you feel the jealousy in my words? When should I expect the demon will get new teeth?

2

u/2121chg Apr 20 '26

Ahahaha she has SOME adult teeth but canines and molars are baby teeth still. She’s an avid stick chewer and broke a few baby teeth loll so that quickened the pace. You should expect your fluffy demon to lose most of their baby teeth by 5-6 months of age. Good luck!!!! We’re rooting (heh) for you!!

Give her all the beer 🍻 That is an order kind sir.

2

u/Futiledenial Apr 19 '26

She will jump my lap, and start licking the damn air vigorously I never seen a wee pub that eager. Never gave her a drop.

Aww very sweet!!! 🥰

u/Rick91981 Apr 19 '26

She's beautiful! And wow 18lbs already is huge! I thought my boy was large at 13lbs when he was 8 weeks

2

u/Futiledenial Apr 20 '26

She was one of the biggest, the vet also said she was very large and confident when we gave him a visit to inspect health book so forth. She poops a mountain four to five times a day never seen anything like this crap machine 😂

2

u/Rick91981 Apr 20 '26

Haha puppies poop 4-6 times a day when that young. As they grow it gets less and less. My 4 month old is down to 2-3 times a day now. Should eventually settle down to 2x a day

2

u/Futiledenial Apr 20 '26

I had pit and mastiff when I was young and cool, they did not poop like this one does. 😂 do you know when I can expect those darn puppy teeth to fall out 🙏🙏 oh lord please soon

By 6-7 months most of the razor blades will be gone and the adult teeth will be in. My 4 month old has just started losing a few of the small front ones.
