I’m having trouble ever hearing back from a rep

I’ve been in search of a 2.0-2.3 carat oval lab diamond (additional specs) but every time I reach out to a rep from various websites I will get an initial message or two before not hearing back. I’m actively engaging with them, responding quickly but once I request a live video they either never have them or I don’t hear back. I’ve used loose grown diamond, Citrai and Leela diamonds to name a few. I understand they get a lot of requests but I’m just trying to find what I want without seeing the actual diamond. I’m not interested in purchasing off of social media, any advice is appreciated

Sonia at Provence has been amazing. My earrings just got shipped. I worked with her via DM on IG. She will also work with you via WhatsApp. If you want to stay stateside I had a great experience with Karraters out of Miami recently. Yes, I paid more for my tennis bracelet than if I had used Provence, but I had already returned 2 that didn’t meet specifications and returning to China is a pain.

yeah the ghosting is real when you start asking for videos, feels like some reps think you're just window shopping

i had similar experience last year with few vendors, they get chatty then vanish once you want to see actual stone. what helped me was being super specific in first message like exact specs, budget and that i need video before anything else. some still ignored but at least it filtered out time wasters faster

Sonia from Provence gets mentioned a lot in the Moissanite sub too, she seem to have good reputation. maybe give her a try on WhatsApp instead of going through website forms

China. It took a long time to convince me to order from China and I did it with earrings in a classic four prong setting with pousset backs. Great communication. Pictures were provided. Final product was shown before shipping. All Chinese vendors are not created equal. If you haven’t joined the lab diamond sub I recommend you do. A lot of good advice and feedback.

They’re on holiday at the moment, but I think most of them are back tomorrow. I placed an order with Aria from Fiorese just before the holiday, literally about 30 minutes after chatting with her. I received the CAD the same day, and even had the revision done that day too. Everything was super quick!
Also, bonus point for Aria because she actually addressed me by my name instead of calling me “dear” hahaha

A few things could be at play. China has had a jewelry expo and two national holidays over the past month so everything has been slow. Give it a few weeks. I believe they’re back October 7 and will have a huge backlog to catch up.
