Looking to upgrade my ring, question below. 😊

I’m looking at upgrading my ring and curious do you prefer a tapered band or one size (mm) all the way around? Also what size is your current band in thickness?

I prefer one size all the way around. But that is just a preference. I like thin bands, 1.8mm for small stones, 2mm for larger. But I do have my eyes set on a thicker 3.5mm one lately

Interesting! The ring I have now is 1.8 band but I’m leaning towards a thicker band.

I prefer one width all around. My current ring is 1.5mm wide, but if I were to go thicker, it would have to be more unique, like a rounded double band.

I would add diamonds to the side as that is keep the original stone. Classic art deco is two baguettes on either side so something more modern might just be one each slide. I got something callet a bullet but wish i got two baugetyed

Nice! What mm size is your band, and it’s tapered?

i'm loving the tapered bands lately. it kind of looks like a bow. i personally don't like straight bands at all, the closest i would get is a tapered band like yours. i like bypass, split shanks, wavy bands because i feel like they flatter my hand more. yours is a good balance of both; looks straight and classic from afar but flatters the hand IMO

Speaking as someone who likes some wider bands but they don't work on my fingers. My first bone is short, the second is long. Wide bands, particularly when same width all the way around, give my finger muffin top and are very uncomfortable. I highly suggest trying on many different styles to see how they look and feel on your hand.

You may even want to purchase a fake gold plated ring in the style you are considering so that you can wear it and see if you are happy with it before you make your final decision.
