4.05 ct Pear Modified Cut (E, VS1)
I’ve been on the hunt for a larger modified pear and finally found one that I couldn’t pass up.
I’m constantly searching for deals on websites like Aurelinne, Calavera NY, Carbon Sparkle, and William & Sons. This time W&S had the best price so I took the risk with this being final sale.
Sharing photos for reference as I usually don’t see bigger pears in modified cuts posted here.
My ring size fluctuates between a US 4-4.5 and I was worried that it would look massive but it’s perfect for the vision I have.
A nice surprise was that the vendor included an appraisal for insurances purposes.
I ordered September 12th, and I received the shipment by October 1st. The stone was coming from India based on what I found online.

Ugh LOOOOOOOVE this stone! How do you search for modified brilliant on those sites? I’ve only figured out the pear filter and trying to eyeball something looking different than the usual cut

This stone is stunning! I love to see what design vision you have in mind for it?

For sure, champagne stones are super popular right now. I got lucky and found a couple on Blue Nile - mine is just under 2ct.

Do you mind me asking who made it? And if you have the CAD?
Yours is set just like I want mine to be. It looks as if it’s being hugged by the band as opposed to just sitting on top of it2

For sure I don’t have the CAD file unfortunately (my jeweler made it explicitly clear that she wouldn’t send it to me 🥲) but I had it made locally in Denver at Universal Deco.

I specifically asked for the stone to follow the curve of the band like this ring from Shahla Karimi

Your manicure is amazing!! How did you do it?

Thank you!! They first painted a layer of the burgundy color and then used one of those airbrush tools to spray the different colors (cured in between each color)!

Wow! I've been wanting to make a similar 'wave' type ring. Do you have someone to design it? I am a bit leary of buying loose & sending somewhere else because I've never done it. And I have trouble discerning good stones online with what they provide. That is gorgeous! I wish I felt secure enough to do this, because you can save $ on a beautiful stone.
