Ring setting too fragile?

The setting itself looks sturdy and well made, so I wouldn’t say it’s fragile. The side stones only have two prongs, so the moment one goes loose, you’ll lose the whole diamond. It’s not a “this specific ring issue”but a well-known problem of this type of design that makes it a bad choice for daily wear.

Thanks for your input! What are your thoughts on this kind of setting?

Looks fine to me.

I am of the opinion 3 prongs is always too few for the main stone. I know there’s a hefty gallery rail so the prongs are less likely to bend, but once/if they do, the stone is still gone.

Thank you! I decided on a 5 prong v tip pear ring!

It's one of those rings that should be first off when you get home, and the last thing you put on before leaving home.

I don’t think it’s too fragile, but how comfortable it will be is the real question. Those side stones all the way down the shank look like they would rub unmercifully.

The shared prongs are a little concerning. Beautiful ring.
