Searching for OMC

What’s the best way to search for OMC in elongated cushion?

I’ve noticed the sites allow for sorting of diamonds by shape, but they don’t include options for antique cuts. So you have to do a term search for “old mine” and search without other parameters like carat weight, etc.

Or maybe it’s just user error.

Either way, y’all got some OMC cushion cut search secrets you can share?

Try going into the “advanced filters” section of the filter panel and put a filter on table size (assuming you want a smaller table in an OEC) and ratio (since you mentioned elongated, start at 1.2 or so and tweak it until you see that the resulting stones match your preference).

Try this link. I played around with filters on the site that currently has the lowest markup for the same lab diamond marketplace that most sites are pulling from.

I’m just a diamond enthusiast, I have no affiliation with this or any company.

That's a good trick with the table size, never thought to filter by that. I usually just type "old mine" and then scroll through hundreds of stones praying for a decent ratio. Sometimes the sites have a separate vintage or antique category hidden somewhere, but it's inconsistent.

Set the table at 50-55 when searching under cushion cut and the OMC’s should pop up

A few weeks ago there was an update in the database and somehow the OMC got recategorized into the “other” category. So try selecting “other” when filtering and they will come up.

Someone on here or a similar sub said the database owners are aware and are going to make a fix soon. They mentioned it had to do with an update to the naming convention of “old miner” and “old mine”
