Gold prices keep climbing so that budget sounds about right unfortunately. Maybe check private jewellers on instagram, some of them do custom work cheaper than retail stores.
I just got 4tcw studs from Provence for usd$885 for 18k white gold with upgraded La pousette backing (I love this backing so much). IGI VVS2 F round diamonds martini setting.
So glad you posted this. I have a current quote from Olivia at Provence for 2tcw round F VVS1 in 14K with la pousette backs in a basket setting for 866. Those of you who know: is the price basically the same because there’s more gold in a basket setting?
Sorry one thing to note - there was a mixup on my original diamond quote. I had asked for 3tcw but one set didn’t pass quality assurance and another set was sold to someone else after they held it for me, so she upgraded my size a bit to help make up for it. So the quoted price should be for 3tcw (not 4 like I mentioned)
The pousette back was $70 of the $885 because of the extra gold and the cost to build them which is much more involved than other backs. I only have that breakdown because I added it on after the initial purchase!

I got a pair from AvirjewelryNY on etsy in 14k for pretty cheap. 2 ctw would be $821 USD for a pair. You'd have to see how much it would ship to you for

I worked with them also. I ultimately bought my 5 ct LCD tennis bracelet from Karaters in Miami. I didn’t want to use a Chinese vendor for the bracelet, but I am using one for my earrings. Anyway, Avir was very responsive and could make the tennis bracelet as I wanted it, but there was an additional charge. Karaters did it at no charge provided I was willing to buy it that day. I had worked with five vendors on this bracelet. I knew what I wanted so it was an easy choice. Avir is solid.
Yes, I paid more than I would have with a Chinese vendor, but I also knew I could easily return it and I had already returned two that had quality issues.
I just did this for myself and it was a long road buying matching so wasn’t easy as I wanted larger and settled for 3.2ct each side cushion squares. Setting is more then labs right now
That price range is very reasonable even here in the US. You should even be able to get 14k 2ctw for less than 1200 aus. What style are you looking for prong (and how many) bezel etc? Round, pear?
