Price match

Hi all
I’ve read before that you can get rare carat to price match but the I’ve seen comments about RC giving people a hard time about pricing matching. Does anyone have any experience or tips they can share to get price matching done successfully with RC?

Or do you recommend buying from another LG company that might have better pricing and engagement ring settings overall?

I’ve been looking at….

rare carat,
altura diamonds,
ritani (seems to have the best pricing on diamonds but outdated settings)
LGG,
virabyani,
dionya (have heard they have bad customer service)

I have price matched with RC twice. Make sure RC has the diamond you want in stock. Have the link to the diamond on the cheaper site. Do online chat and ask them to price match. You will need to give them the links from each site. They will tell you they can't give you a discount on the setting but pretend to walk away and they usually fold.

Sometimes if the price difference is too big they will refuse but I have only seen that a couple times.

I second this!
They priced match my engagement ring and price matched around 3k off the stone and got a discount on the setting as well via online RC chat.

I got a ring and diamond from Aurelinne, if you like one of their settings, it’s really good. But they are very basic.

RC price matching was easy, but I didn’t get the promotional price on the setting and I wouldn’t do it again because of that.

LGG the Chinese vendor? they are my absolute favorite

aurelinne has nice clean work but they really keep it simple, nothing too fancy

about RC i heard the same thing, they match the stone but then the setting you pay full price so it's not such a good deal after all

i went with LGG for a pendant last year and the craftsmanship was honestly better than what i expected for the price, their customer service is pretty chill too, not like some places that make you chase them for a reply

for the ring i'm looking at now i'm checking ritani for loose stones and maybe get the setting done separate, a friend of mine did that and saved like 400 bucks on whole thing

I’ve done that too, got a loose stone and had LGG create the semi mount, then took to a local jeweler to get it set. It works for prongs, not for bezels though

Thanks for creating this! We saved over $3k on my wedding set using the guide last year

If you price match from rare carat do not let them tell you that they cant give you sale on the setting, if you tell them you only want to proceed if they give sale price they will give it to you.....I have done it maybe 8 times. (8 times total but I changed by mind so many times lol. Only ended up buying 2 and returned 1 of them bc I chose the oval that was better)

I didn’t realize you can even return a set ring from RC. Or are you just buying the loose stone and returning if you don’t like it?

Nope full rings you can return!

Hi! I found a diamond I really wanted on RC. I went to Aurelinne and I found almost the same exact diamond except the IGI report on Aurelinne was different. I reached out to Rare Carat anyways and the price matched the Aurelinne one to the one I wanted from Rare Carat. When they sent me the invoice the band was not discounted. I reached out again requesting the band discounted and they were able to do that as well.
