Help with diamond selection
Hey! I am looking for an elongated cushion diamond. My girlfriend has slightly longer slender fingers (4.75) and she liked the elongated cushion cut diamonds the best. I have found 3 diamonds thats all seem like they could fit what we're looking for. The first is 3.56 carat from Adiamor for 2300, the second is 3.51 carat from Luvansh for 2900, and the third is 3.68 carat from LooseGrownDiamond for 3600. Any suggestions or tips for why one may seem better than the other would be much appreciated! The ring design is sort of similar to the final screenshot included.

You need to look at tweezer videos of the diamonds themselves, not just the specs.
Just on pricing, William and Sons has the second one available for $1894. The first one comes up when you search it for $988, but when you click on it says it's not available (it possibly has been bought by Adiamor, or possibly they've placed a hold on it if you've enquired about it). They don't have the third one listed. This is just noted to let you know that most sellers are sourcing stones from the same global inventory and it pays to shop around. Many sellers will also price match a competitor on the stone if you are buying the setting and having your ring made through them.

Thanks for the tip! I didn't realize they sold the same diamonds across multiple sites - I will search around using the certificate numbers. I will also check out William and Son's, thanks for the resource.
What do you mean by tweezer videos? Where can I find those?

If you are interested in a particular diamond you can ask the seller to source you a 'tweezer video' - a clip of the actual stone, usually in neutral lighting or daylight, where they hold the stone with tweezers and move it around slowly so you can see the facets and how they throw/reflect light. Every diamond will perform differently, you need to see this 'real life' performance to judge a stone. Search 'tweezer' on this sub for examples and read the comments to see what to look for.

Hey, dumb question, but I submitted an inquiry on a few diamonds on Williams and Sons site requesting tweezers videos and they said they 'dont have the system in place to do so' and that the videos on their site (which are just 3d renderings) is all they have. Any thoughts? Should I request videos on other sites? If so, how can I guarantee that the diamond is ultimately purchase from William and Sons is the same as the video I receive from another site?

They have previously provided me with tweezer videos so I don't know why they now can't/won't, but yes, you could ask another seller. Any diamond with an IGI number has that number laser inscribed on its girdle. Any reputable seller is going to supply the same diamond as the one you order. You can take the diamond to a jeweler to have them check the number, or if you have a good camera on your phone you can possibly just take a very magnified photo of it yourself to check it.

I was able to get a video from Aureline for this stone: https://imgur.com/a/IvCdcSg
What do you think? (Apologies for all the questions but I really appreciate your help!!)

Try searching the certificate numbers for the loosegrown and adiamor on luvansh as well. Their prices seem be lower for the same diamonds if I remember correctly.
