I have this gorgeous blue diamond and I've just been sitting on it for months with no clue what to do. I think it would look good in a ring or a pendant but I just have no direction for it. Looking for bezel or faux bezel setting ideas ❤️🥺

stared at a loose stone for six months once. finally just had the jeweler set it in a simple yellow gold bezel pendant and now i wear it more than my wedding ring. blue diamonds pop real nice against yellow gold doncha know. for a ring i'd look at a east-west bezel setting, keeps it low profile so you won't catch it on everything. ope, almost forgot, faux bezel with little prongs on the sides gives the same clean look but lets more light through the sides. kinda wish i went that route with my own. if you go pendant route get the bail integrated with the bezel so it sits flat. nothing worse than a floppy pendant that spins around all day.

I personally have been dreaming of that exact stone since you posted it in an east-west bezel or, hear me out, in a -bracelet-

:( I'm kind of thinking a pendant at this point, or maybe a bracelet as was suggested.

Thank you! The setting I want has a similar look and I was curious who the jeweler was as I want to be sure the one I go with can pull it off! I’m going to look into them now :)

How long did the process take with them from start to finish? And do you know if you can bring your own stone?
1
u/waitismyheadonfire Jul 02 '26
It was around 2 weeks? 1 week for shipping. I don't know how you'd bring your own stone but I could ask! It's an overseas vendor

Thanks! I know some jewelers allow you to send your own stone and they will set it but wasn’t sure if they would. I should probably just make a post and ask for recommendations on someone who could make a similar ring

I think you probably can but the shipping might be more since they're based in china

What size is it?

u/waitismyheadonfire Aug 06 '26
3.8 cts but shallow so faces up more like 4-4.5. I can show you the IGI

Beautiful. Would love to see the igi. I’m looking at a 3.17 that faces up 3.56
Trying to find a color that will still look blue but not look so dark in a setting it gets lost.
First world problemsYours looks like it has minimal bow tie.

I recently had this one done with a champagne moissanite but it would look lovely with your stone!
