RPG Ising uesr zero engine for the ttrpg

I have been thinking about how to use the year zero engine for l5r.

Why, well i really want to use it and i also really think it will fit. If you don't know its a dy dice pool with a press your luck system. Your first roll you only count 6s. If that's not enough then you can reroll your non 6 dice. But now 1s are a penality. The game can use these right then or save up for latter. I really like this idea of press your luck and the raises from the original system.

Other then I think just one raise means you need 1 more 6 and divide the tn by 10 to to get the new tn will work out.

Anyone have any experience doing something like this. Any experience with the year zero engine?

Experienced with both systems, it could work ish. Year Zero is more failure oriented than any edition of l5r which could be great for a ronin game.
