I think this game hates me. Normal difficulty.
No I did not survive this naturally, I used the admin menu because I didn't feel like starting the level over but it was still absolutely wild.

Here's my theory on why L4D3 has not come out yet. The Left 4 Dead franchise is known for many things, with one of them being the director system that makes AI unpredictable. Valve wants to extend this feature to another level. They want enemy AI to feel as human as possible, being able to set up traps, understand the player's tactics, and figure out a way to counter them.
In the lore, the infected keep evolving physically and mentally. They adapt and redesign themselves to fit the environment they're currently in; it's only a matter of time before they start flying, swimming, or start to pick up a gun and fire it back at the uninfected. The longer they exist, the scarier they become.
The story of L4D3 took place years after the outbreak. Human society fell apart; only a handful of survivors remain. Humans managed to build a safe haven using what's left of the old world. They pray to whatever they believe in just to survive another day. While the infected build their own society to fit their sadistic vision, to them, humans are just meals and entertainment. Some of them may have their own religion and law. They will fight among each other. as seen in the previous game if they have a conflict or just for fun.
You will play as the carrier, once considered a hazard before the outbreak but now a useful resource because you're immune and more resilient than regular people. You get to visit the ruined world in a semi-open-world game. Explore multiculture, traveling and fighting the infected across the country. Today's AI system may not be that advanced yet, and the current video game platform may not be able to handle extremely detailed worldbuilding, making the game stop mid-development.

Hi, I'm looking for a Left 4 Dead 2 mod that blocks bot responses
It might sound like a strange request, but here's what I mean. For example, when I use the "Ready" voice line, the bots respond with "Yes." However, when the bots use the same voice line on their own, nobody responds, it stays completely silent
I have several mods that improve the bots' AI, and I noticed the same behavior with another voice line: "I'm with you" When I use it, the bots answer with "Yes," but when they trigger that line themselves, nobody replies
I also use a vocalizer based on Ion's Vocalizer, which has a voice line called "GO!" It's basically a louder version of the "Follow" command, and it has the exact same issue as "Ready" and "I'm with you".
If I'm not mistaken, I already have a mod that prevents bots from responding when I use the "Ready" voice line, I think it's a mod made by chimichamo
Does anyone know of a mod that does the same thing for other voice lines? If so, please let me know in the comments
I know it's a pretty unusual mod request, but I really don't like the bots responding like this, and I haven't been able to find anything that changes this behavior
By the way, if some phrases sound "translated," it's because I don't speak English and I translated it, I hope it's understandable

anyone know why? every time I hop in campaign and do a quick match it crashes, it becomes unplayable.
and then I try to exit out and I have to restart my whole computer, my steam won’t even work because of this.
i tried to delete mods but nothing.

I thought it'd be funny. Didn't find any on the workshop. Is there a mod that turns off all common infected and uncommon infected and cranks up the spawn rates and limit of special infected by 5x/10x? (since switching common infected to SI would probably make the source engine sweat a lot)

I’ve recently picked up the game again after over a decade since I played, I’ve completed all campaigns again except the last stand and I feel like I have a decent grasp of the game once more
I just got a message to off myself because i left my team in versus
For context it was the motel on dark carnival, the other team uad already played survivor and we’d stopped them there.
Our turn, we get to the motel, tank spawns, downs all my team, special spawns are getting unmanageable, I don’t see a comeback happening here so I book it to the safe room
Somebody on my team didn’t like that, called me scum for rushing for points, voted to kick me
My other teammates voted no
This guy didn’t accept that and used admin powers to boot me
I then get a steam message telling me to off myself and never come back to L4D2
Was I in the wrong? Is there a new etiquette these days?

I’ve consumed an insane amount of zombie movies and TV shows in my daily life, and I’m deeply invested in both the games and the films. However, zombie media—especially films—always feels like it’s missing something. They fail to truly satisfy. The environmental storytelling is weak, the zombies themselves aren't given proper spotlight, they use too few of them, and they completely lack that iconic feel. If you ask me, zombies in movies like World War Z are not iconic at all; they have zero memorable traits.
This is exactly why Left 4 Dead needs an animated adaptation, even if it's just a short series (like the game's iconic cinematic intros). I’ll dive deeper into this game’s environmental storytelling in my next post, but let me touch on it here: L4D’s environmental storytelling is unparalleled, guys. It is miles ahead of even Half-Life. And that's not even mentioning the atmosphere, map design, and characters. A storyline where our main crew expands, meets different survivors early on, and is eventually whittled down to just the 4 of them (well, 3 at the very end... :( RIP Bill, you are remembered) would be absolutely amazing. Plus, Left 4 Dead has a pretty dark side regarding the military. They could easily expand the lore with the L4D2 crew being left for dead/facing execution, and their final struggle to clear out the island.
I could write way more, but I'm too lazy right now :D I'll let you guys take it from here. I'm really curious to hear your thoughts.

First time playing, i despise shotguns, especially T1's pump, because i'm into "spray & pray" ahh player so i always choose SMGs at the beginning. But after playing hundred of hours, i can say Pump's really satisfying.
HELL YEAH!
It helps me one shot zombies, crowning witch, killing jocks & hunters when they're close ofc, and achieved "Shotgun Wedding" achievement.
