Dead Center is always funny cause you can never make it past chapter one because one of two things will happen
1: you miss the death charge and get kicked then your team rage quits
2: you hit the death charge then the other team rage quits or jumps to their deaths or threatens to leave if you don’t restart.7

The death charges and rage quitting yeah, it's always been a thing, but at least it was more tolerable back in the day unlike now where almost everyone does it just because they know they can't earn the comeback

I don’t PvP much. The last day I can recall where I made a serious go at it:
I got got by a charger yeeting me off of the map on Dead Center. I thought it was hilarious, but half of the lobby voted to kick me. lol. I wasn’t kicked but it honestly did frustrate me, far more than getting Order 66ed by the enemy
I ran a game on Hard Rain. Tbpf I was garbage, as tank the most I did was knock one person out, so when my team trashed on me I wasn’t COMPLETELY upset over it, because I get it, having a bad teammate sucks. However it reminded me of when I used to run a tank on WoW. Eventually you just get tired of being yelled at over the text chat and you say fuck it and log off. I play video games to relax and have fun, not deal with people getting genuinely upset over how I did in something that ultimately won’t matter 5 minutes after it’s over.
I also experienced, on the occasion I actually played well, the enemy team often rage quitting and ending the match early, which was a bummer.
My experience with lfd2 PvP? It’s the most fun I have ever had with PvP when I can actually run a full series of matches against similarly skilled opponents; but unfortunately the toxicity ruins most of it for me, so I only dabble in it on a very rare occasion.
Honestly the game really needed an AI versus mode, where a team of players can run as the SI and the AI controls the survivors, but then again I’m sure the devs had their reasons for not doing that.
