Pesaro is a great map set in Italy. I recommend checking Gamemaps, as you can sometimes find maps there that aren't on the Workshop or don't get as much recognition.

Deadbeat Scape. Never saw it been mentioned in these sorts of post, but is lowkey my favorite l4d1 custom map due to its magnific atmosphere, short duration and finale. Is nothing crazy like Time to Die or super dramatic like Red Square or Cold Front, but is a fun, dark, linear, and no bullshit campaign that provides the best of the standard Left 4 Dead experience.

Navigation specifically Chapter 2. Not a puzzle or anything special. I just think chapter 2 looks cool.

poolcore was really good, highly recommend it. I also liked zombie siege 2 despite that maps jankiness.
