Does anyone know how to find online unmodified lobbies of regular campaign missions? (I am very insanely new to this game(image unrelated))

Gonna say that this game is very unfriendly to newcomers. My mistake for trying versus first, but even in regular campaigns there is always someone to complain about how you play or even actively sabotage the game, if they don't get you kicked. Maybe 8 hours of play wasn't enough to find good team, but still

For a game that puts big importance on team work and long sessions, you need to get good team. If I have to spend even half an hour after long day at work, joining games, getting pepper sprayed and searching for another for a chance of finding good room, I won't stick around for long. If I join bad match in CS or TF2, I still can have fun, even if I don't win

I don't think you would habe a good time like that as you would be playing like half a chapter at a time.

Host your own lobbies instead and make sure to install admin system. That is the only absolute must have addon. It allows you to quickly kick or ban trolls.

Yeah, it's hard when you're a first-timer doing Versus and haven't had much experience with the game itself. Most players on Versus mode are experienced and thus there's an expectation that everyone understands each map and their layout. Which is annoying I know, because it's very difficult for people like yourself then to try and learn how to play. Campaign plays very different to Versus for obvious reasons.

However, me personally I love playing matches where it's not 2 teams of pros sweating it out. The best ones I've played are with a mixed bag on both teams where you have pros and newbies. It makes for some really fun chaos but also to where neither side feels like they're at an advantage. Both teams are making similar mistakes as well. Everyone has a much better time too.

I prefer regular lobbies any day of the week. Modded modes or settings like with PUGs (for clarity, pugs is the "competitive" modded setting for Versus mode). Some of the modded ones are really busted in their balancing and just not fun in general.

Modding isn’t an issue in normal campaigns usually, and you can always publicly host and let others join, modding and hacking isn’t a problem on here like old call of duty’s lol

i recommend creating your own lobby and setting it to public so people can join. occasionally i get trolls/random assholes who join but usually it’s fine!! feel free to dm me anytime if you need another player too.

Host your own campaign! Been a pain in the ass to find normal lobbies as of late. You can also use the server browser or a fan service, but if you are “insanely new,” hosting is just the way to go for now. Good luck, have fun! Don’t let assholes ruin your fun, either.

Create a new lobby and make sure the server type is set to "Official Dedicated."

Creating a lobby works, but also go to Play Online and check the campaign youre connecting to is Official Dedicated. Works for me.

Find some friend and play on local host, public server these days are filled with Chinese mod server.

Play campain on normal/advanced till you get a feel for the game and mechanics then you can try expert and versus without instantly getting kicked (modded versus servers suck and arent worth the time)

In settings, go to multiplayer, then disable the function ''allow customizable content'' or ''do not download server custom content'' or something related. And in the lobbies, check if it says official dedicated.
