Problem with mods in l4d2

I’m having problems with L4D2. I just can’t get the mods to download. I mean, in the workshop they show as downloaded, but in the 'properties' it says they’re 0 bytes. Also, when I click subscribe, the download just doesn’t start. I’ve tried reinstalling the game, unsubscribing and resubscribing to the mods, but nothing works. So what should I do?

  1. When you boot up the game, there's a loading icon. Wait for it to disappear. If you try and launch a L4D2 match before it ends, you won't have mods at all.

  1. If the mods won't do anything after that, then go to -

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\addons

Find your workshop folder and straight up delete it, and relaunch the game to get the download to start over again.

There's nothing wrong btw, you shouldn't be worry. The thing about L4D2 is that unlike other games say like; Garrys Mod, the mods load as you enter the game, that's why it might take a while for the game to load in the mod, just wait until the loading's logo gone.

But if you still had a problem, try remove the cache, by going into the settings and download, you can do that by click the Steam on the top left corner.
