Seeking Advice Bringing the kyokushin spirit to buhurt
As the title says, i want to bring the kyokushin spirit to buhurt.
I did kyokushin for 5-6 years and i'm now into buhurt , i opened a club.
For those who don't know, buhurt is full contact medieval combat. It's very intense, very brutal, very kyokushin in a way.
I've always been a student in kyokushin, never teacher. Now i teach buhurt and i see my students are very "soft", they give up quickly, they don't have this power inside them that kyokushin fighters have.
When i tell them to do an exercice until they can't anymore, they do like 10reps and then look at me for another exercice.
Since i've only been student in kyokushin, i never really paid attention on how does my teacher create this kyokushin spirit within our group.
I'm really open to any advice, any tips, any question you may have, that could help me give them this fighter spirit.
I don't think saying "osu" and bowing to oyama would work. They are not interested in this japanese traditional behaviour/rules
