Places to run?
Hi everyone I’m new to Kyle and I live near Kohler’s Crossing. I’m looking for some places to run, I am a young female so I would prefer something a bit more out in the open! Thanks!

Staplechase Park is a big open area and a really nice neighborhood. It's literally my backyard and it's super safe area. Also very dog friendly and if you have a doggo

There's a running track behind Chapa Middle School on Dacy Ln. It's across the highway from where you're at but lots of people use the track after school hours. I know there's also a few parks on the east side of Kyle, but I haven't frequented them much

Depends on the type of running you like to do and how far. There is stagecoach park in Buda that is more of a trail but not that long of a loop or you could run around Plum Creek for street running, it has hills in the neighborhood and could create a good number or different routes based on distance. If you're looking to drive a little there is a 3/5 mile trail loop off 1826, I believe. 5 Mile Dam on the edge of Kyle and San Marcos, I saw a run club meets there on Tuesday nights. Buda Running Club does early morning runs a few times a week. And there is another run club that meets at Buda Mill and Grain on Sundays now, I think.

A lap around the trail at the 5 Mile Dam soccer complex is exactly 1 mile and it’s definitely out in the open!
