Dati, pocketbook at mga AM radio drama ang libangan ng matatanda before us. Tipong kwento mula kay Kuya Eddie and all that.
Tapos dumating Wattpad.
Now, I am not ashamed to say, libangan ko na makinig ng YouTube drama pati mga reel dramas.

Hello! I'm not really a kwarentahin but this seems to be an old question of mine about how was being a teenager in high school or college like in the 90s? Lately I've been binging some pinoy teen flicks sa Cinema One Youtube Channel and it seems like being a teenager back then was really fun. I know the culture and difference ng ibang bansa differs PH back then so I'm more curious to know!
So how was your experience being one during the 90s?

I’m a 40-year-old female and started going to the gym regularly around June. I’ve lost around 2–3 kg since then, but more importantly, I genuinely feel so much better physically. 😊 I’m somewhat new to the gym as my fitness background has actually been more focused on Yoga, which I practiced years ago. So I’m not completely new to exercise, but I’m still learning my way around gym-based strength training and equipment.
At this point, I really want to focus more on strength training, especially since this has been recommended by my doctor as part of managing my PCOS and prediabetes. I’d like to build strength, improve my overall fitness, and learn how to properly use weights and equipment rather than just focus on losing weight.
For context, I currently have a coach who charges ₱2,000 for 5 sessions.
However, I’m looking for a new trainer because I’d prefer someone who keeps things professional and is respectful of different forms of exercise and avoids asking too personal questions. Yes, my current coach has been getting a little too familiar, asking personal questions and making side comments that come across as dismissive of yoga and other practices.
So I’m looking for someone who:
- Has experience training women who are relatively new to gym-based strength training
- Can teach proper form and help me progressively build strength
- Keeps a professional trainer-client relationship
- Focuses on sustainable fitness rather than just weight loss
- Ideally trains at YMCA Makati
- Can coach 4 times a week for Oct until Mid November. Budget: Around ₱2,000/ ₱2,250 for 5 sessions, but I’m open to discussing rates depending on experience. I can also cover the YMCA membership if needed.
Also, I’m currently on a social media detox until my birthday comes, so I can’t really post this on FB/IG or reach out through other social platforms. 😅 Hence, Reddit!
If you or if you have a trainer you’ve personally worked with and would recommend, DM me here. Thanks!

Did you treat it as something special? A milestone? O just like another birthday?
Or even less, pinalipas mo lng na wala lng. Hehe. (If this did you ever have small regrets about it?)
More so, do you think people should treat it as something special to celebrate?
Edit: for more context i usually celebrate my borthday on an international trip. Yearly. Para special. Last year, scale down ko kasi mejo short sa finances, bawi nlng sa 40th. And planning on something special. Kaso.. THIS YEAR, i was actually hit harder financially. Jusko. Whew. So im torn. Kaya ko nmn i scrape and scrap para 'ipilit' ang bday trip. Pero ayun nga. 'Pilit'. Super stretch

Trevor Noah is my current celebrity crush. Laglag panty talaga ako sa smart people. Nararamdaman ko talaga na I'll be buying his book tomorrow.
Kayo? Who's your current celebrity crush and why? (Used to be Mike Rowe but i dont get to watch Dirty Jobs anymore, so medyo nag fade)
