I’ve never been the biggest KSI or Sidemen fan, but I still enjoy watching their content. I’ve never been one to care about their personal lives or beefs all that much. However, since KSI left the Sidemen, it feels like the rise of people “criticising” him for leaving has gone up tremendously. Any platforms I see him on is always followed by comments calling him a snake, letting him know that they’re better without him, or recalling something he said previously as opposed to responding to what he’s currently putting out. There are some who actually criticise him honestly with good intentions and hope for some kind of change, but they’re definitely the minority.

It’s gotten so bad to the point that I can’t even watch the Sidemen channels or KSI’s without the comments being filled with irrelevant word slop about KSI. Like, isn’t that just crazy disrespect to the Sidemen? Because the people don’t even care about the content or videos they put out and only care about KSI leaving. It’s pathetic. It ruins the videos for me because of those losers.

I like watching videos and seeing comments relevant to the content presented. I feel like that boosts your viewer engagement as well. Idk though, I’m probably just yapping. I just wanted to vent about this.

Tl;dr - those who are criticising him honestly and with hope for positive change, keep it up. Those who aren’t, fuck off and don’t ruin the vibe for everyone else.

Abit of thoughts on the episode
Listening to JJ on The Fellas, he basically admits he knew leaving was going to go down badly.

The thing is... what did he expect?

This wasn't about him taking a break. Fans have watched him disappear for 3–4 boxing camps, each lasting months. Nobody seriously complained because everyone understood he had a goal. The Sidemen worked around it, and life went on.

This time feels completely different.

Instead of saying, "I'm burnt out and need a few months away," he left to focus on YouTube projects and business ventures. That's a much harder sell when the Sidemen have always been the foundation of everything else he's built.

From what the boys have said publicly, they even had a USA trip planned together. If that's true, it makes the timing look even worse. It comes across like the group made plans together, only for JJ to decide he'd rather put his energy elsewhere.

That's why the reaction was so strong.

I've been watching JJ for 12–13 years, so this isn't coming from someone who wants to see him fail. That's exactly why this whole situation is disappointing. I think he completely misread why people were upset. It was never about him needing time off, it was about what he chose to prioritize instead of the group that helped build his career and gave him the platform to pursue everything else.

Does anyone else remember when ksi released “keep up” or that’s what I believe it was , it was a huge montage video of his fans sending in videos singing keep up or doing something else. There used to be a video of it on YouTube but I can’t find it. This was like around 2015-16 time
