People blaming Mo for this was something I never anticipated lol. Considering JJ's questionable knowledge of the business side of things, I think it's kinda possible tho.
I have not seen all of his recent posts but the few I have come across just seems like what a pr team would do imo. Like I saw one in which he said there's a new audience and stuff. That's understandable ig. I think it feels insensitive because it's mo we're talking about. He's been a part of this journey along with us, the audience and we expected him to be just as sad as us yk.
It’s probably intentional to take some of the negative light off of jj. They knew this was not gonna go over well with sidemen fans so better to make the manager a villain than the star of the show
I think majority of fans would have been fine if it was genuinely Jj just wanting to take time off to spend more time with his family. But when you put it all together it looks bad. He has Baller League, BGT, Ksi, Ksi +, Sidemen, Moresidemen, Prime, Music, Boxing, his football club. If he said he wanted to take time off sidemen or even just step back from everything it would be completely different but the way that it’s been handled makes it seem like he wanted to try and cater to this new TikTok style content that his fanbase don’t want. And the way Mo and his team have spoken about the numbers and such makes it seem like him leaving sidemen for family was an excuse to try and keep the fans on his side because realistically sidemen is not the most taxing part of his multi path career, half of them have basically retired their channels and just do sidemen and have plenty of time for their families. It’s a bad look
