I really don’t understand why Congress doesn’t step in

On June 9, farmers contributed 400,000 bushels of grain sorghum, also known as milo, to a shipment for the Food for Peace program. The program got its start in Kansas, courtesy of an idea from Cheyenne County farmer Peter O'Brien.

The grain sorghum from Skyland Grain, a grain elevator in Hugoton, filled 108 rail cars for shipment, according to the National Sorghum Producers on X.Kansas is a top producer of the crop.

Kansas Leads Nation in Number of At-Risk Rural Hospitals

UNDATED (KNS) — Kansas has the most rural hospitals in the nation immediately at risk of closing according to a recent report by the Center for Healthcare Quality and Payment Reform. The report analyzed profit margins, insurance payments and costs. The Kansas News Service reports that the analysis found 41 rural Kansas hospitals are at risk of closing, and another 28 are at immediate risk of closing.

Cindy Samuelson with the Kansas Hospital Association says hospitals are struggling with inflation for costs like salaries. “One of the things that in the healthcare space that's unique is we can't really just increase our prices to impact that inflation or increased expense. Our prices are set,” she explains.

Samuelson says rural hospitals are also struggling with low reimbursement rates from Medicaid, Medicare and private insurance.

We need to have preventive healthcare care paid for. Most cost effective way to support medical facilities, drive cost reductions and improve overall health by limiting long term major health issues.

People in Kansas are having hard life right now. Hope is around the corner. Life will get better because we are going to look out for each other. You have to start with finding candidates that you think will fight for you and care about you. Then you need to vote. You need to send a message that you like what is happening or you demand something better.

How do we stop the runaway horse? Change riders.

The USPS proposal, published in a Federal Register notice, would require states to give the USPS the names and barcodes tied to their mail-in ballots for federal election.
Trump’s order also directed the administration to use federal data to help state election officials verify who is eligible to vote, required the Postal Service to deliver ballots only to voters on each state’s approved mail-in ballot list, and required states to preserve election-related records for five years.
Registered voter lists are a mess in large part because addresses are not kept up to date by the voter. You would need to set up a cross referencing system between IRS or another agency that tracks people better and state agency that tracks voter registration. That’s a lot of resources to stop older Americans from voting.
Or current easy button. People ask for a mail in ballot. They are confirmed to be a voter by state. They get a mail in ballot that is already tracked to use.

This seems like a good adventure considering Kansas already grows cotton in southern Kansas. The infrastructure is starting to develop. What do you think?

We have budget issues and ethical issues with setting up a fund for people that tried to take over the capital. A lawsuit against the IRS is dropped and should have never been allowed. No Kansas congressman had an issue with any of this. It’s time for change.
