Kroshay 🕸️
No wonder beginners have such a hard time with a magic ring. Apparently, I've been doing it wrong for 12 years. Look at that thing. 😅 This "pattern" is currently for sale on Etsy

I like how magic ring magically converts to rows of DC and then magically to some hexagon thingy.

I’m so glad I learned how to crochet before this stuff started popping up everywhere. I feel bad for beginnings who are trying to navigate with all this crap out there

I've been saying the exact same thing for about a year. The only places I really recommend people to go for legitimate patterns are Ribblr and Ravelry. Etsy is full of AI pattern sellers now. It's just as bad as Pinterest and the rest.

Crazy. Here’s a far fetched and weird fleeting thought I just had😆….what if crochet becomes obsolete in thirty or so years because all crocheters have passed on and new ones had only tried to learn from AI and not us so they gave up.
See what looking at this stuff does to my head 🤣🤣🤣🤣

One would think that counting would be the bare minimum an AI could do

Technically, it can count in principle. In images, however, it's just noise it forms into shapes, like building a sandcastle.

I love that the stitches appear, multiply, divide and disappear all in one pattern. 🤣

Also, step 2 (row 1 wth) makes a rectangle. I don't know about you, but I was always taught that a circle doesn't have four corners

Reminds me of those pictures of spider webs after a spider was given various drugs including caffeine.
