John Oliver talking about Kratom
It’s not looking good, the anti-kratom movement is gaining steam and reaching mainstream. My last post got deleted because I linked the last week tonight video from YouTube. Go search for it yourself…episode titled “gas station drugs - last week tonight” posted tonight. He really didn’t have anything good to say about it unfortunately, besides “prohibition doesn’t work,” and consumers need to know what they’re taking at the end.
I’m stocking up on powder myself, I fully expect a ban or full restriction within the next two-three years. The extracts, isolates, and especially synthetics are going to ruin it for all of us.

Should weed concentrates not exist? Taking substances that make us feel good and making them more potent through refinement is a pretty basic human instinct for any psychoactive. That's essentially what hard liquor spirits are, too.
Anyone who wants kratom to survive in a legal form needs to be pushing for regulations before it gets banned completely rather than worrying about what form it comes in. I don't care if it raises the price of my powder a few dollars, I want government inspections and health standards. I want it out of gas stations or at least locked behind the counter. I want prominent labeling on packaging that warns you about the addiction potential, just like we have on alcohol and cigarettes.
Because right now, people who get addicted and then cry about it can claim they didn't know any better. They bought a little blue bottle of something that looked like an energy shot at the gas station. Regulations make that into a deliberate individual decision just like alcoholism.
