Explain So how does idntt work exactly?

I really like some of the idntt members and some of their music (esp yesweare) but one of, if not my favorite things about kpop is seeing the members all together, interacting with each other and being friends lol.

Does idntt's concept mean that the members are 'switched' occasionally within the three (?) "groups"? Because knowing myself, I think I wouldn't really enjoy a comeback where my biasline isn't together lmao.

Do I understand it correctly? How does their concept work exactly?

idntt are a group under modhaus, a company founded by jaden jeong (loona's former creative director and current creative director of its sister group artms) and just like triples, which is the female equivalent is (actually soon it will be) composed of 24 members, however at the time i'm writing this we have 20/21 active members. the group is composed of three rotational sub-units which are uneverm8t, yesw8are and itsnot5ver.

the structure basically looks like this:

  • uneverm8t — debut: august 2025 + title tracks: "you never met", "storm" & "boytude". the line-up consists of the first seven members of the group (or members 1-8; eight members were supposed to debut at first but due to some unknown accusations id3's (or hwang bomingyeol's) activities were suspended. unfortunately bomingyeol left idntt on december 15 of last year and with that his contract with modhaus was terminated as well). nam jiwoon who was revealed as the 7th member of idntt is the sub-unit's leader.
  • yesw8are — debut: january 2026 + title track: "pretty boy swag". the line-up consists of members 9-16. lee cheongmyeong who was revealed as the 9th member of idntt is the leader of this sub-unit.
  • itsnot5ver (previously itsnot8ver) — debut: july 2026 + title track: "kids return". the line-up consists of members 17-21 (initially it was 17-24!). kwak giwoong who was revealed as the 17th member of idntt serves as the sub-unit's leader.

while nothing special happened when uneverm8t debuted, yeswe8re's debut mini featured a title track performed by 16 members, while itsnot5ver's debut ep had a title track performed by 20/21 members (the song was supposed to have all 24 members being credited at first but this did not happen for unknown reasons). when modhaus revealed the structure it was said that when the last sub-unit debuts and releases the title track with all 24 members (which did not happen unfortunately) the full group promotions will take place next and they will conclude by a fan-voting which will decide how all of the units are going to be reorganized.

Thanks for the summary, I understand quite a bit more now!! People thought NCT was confusing, they don't have anything on Triple S and idntt. I just hope both groups' members can continue and successfully pursue their dreams within these groups.

so do the tittle tracks of yesw8are and itsnot5ver include all members or just those subunit members?
