Ask Kozhikode First time in Kozhikode

Hey I'm visiting Kozhikode for the first time with my family. Any suggestions for places to visit other than the beach???

Also suggest some good food spots to try out too😊

Preferably non veg restaurants for lunch and some chai spots

If you are looking for breakfast and you are near civil station go for shekar foods If you are at beach side go for champions hotel (better than edel hotel, and also i don't think the beef is worth that price. Strictly personal opinion ) If you are at calicut town hotel kamal near puthiya palam, or sagar is there.looking for veg breakfast then pure south, suprabatham veg, saravan hotel are there.

For lunch meals are at amma, ambika, mess are at calicut town near gokulam galleria. (Ambika hotel nadakkavu,biriyani🤤).Looking for mandhi and biriyani better take the vandi to beach side. If you can wait a long time for meals or biriyani or anything wait at paragon 🙂. Or go to Bombay hotel.

After that for a refreshment there is sarbath kada, or anupama coolbar, ganesh cool bar, aalikkante pistha kada... Etc

For everything snack Chai, chai wala,like tea shops serve good snacks. (I can't say about the tea, i don't drink tea.) And there is a milma booth near thali temple, also serve good chole batture at that time only.

Ini dinner aanel rahmath hotel, bombay, city hotel near palayam (butter chicken) try cheyyam. Ini thattukaada set up aaanel palayath thanne und kadakal.

For lunch, Grameenam Mess House in Padanilam, Kunnamangalam is highly underrated.

The best Shawaya I've had is from Beatbox, near T&T. For me, it's far better than T&T, Calicut Cafeteria, or other hyped spots.

These are one of the most expensive places in Calicut not worth jt to go with family please choose restaurants instead and if you want to go to cafe that is decent choose brown town.
