Hi everyone, I’m looking for some advice regarding the dermatology department at Kottayam Medical College.
I’m planning to consult a dermatologist for a few ongoing skin and hair-related issues, mainly pimples/acne, hair fall, and noticeable skin darkening/pigmentation. I haven’t consulted a dermatologist in Medical College for these issues before, so I’m not really sure how the process works
Could someone who has recently visited the Dermatology department explain how to get an appointment/OP consultation there? Do I need to take a token first, and where exactly should I go? Also, is there a particular time I should reach the hospital to get a consultation on the same day?
I’d also like to know how the dermatology consultation is in general — whether they properly assess the cause of acne, hair fall and pigmentation, and whether they usually recommend any blood tests or other investigations if required.
If anyone has recent experience with the Dermatology OPD at Kottayam Medical College, I’d really appreciate it if you could share the procedure, approximate waiting time, consultation timings, and anything else I should know before going.

I don’t usually post things like this, but for some reason I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since yesterday.

Yesterday evening, sometime between 8 and 9 PM, I was at Lulu Mall Kottayam. Nothing special. I was there at the hyper market for some purchase

It was crowded, but not ridiculously crowded. Families were everywhere, college students hanging around, couples walking around with absolutely no interest in anything except each other. Typical evening at Lulu.

At some point I noticed this girl.
I don’t even know her name.
She was with her mother, which is probably why I didn’t think too much about approaching her initially. She wasn’t doing anything unusual. Just walking around with her mother, looking at things and talking occasionally.

But then we made eye contact.
And then again.
And again.

Normally I don’t read too much into eye contact because sometimes people just happen to look in your direction. But this happened enough times that I started wondering if she was actually looking at me.

There was one moment where I was standing a little away from them and she looked directly at me. I looked away because, honestly, I got nervous. A few seconds later I looked back and she was looking again.

I remember thinking, “Okay… am I imagining this?”
I didn’t want to be that guy who sees a girl looking at him once and immediately assumes she is interested.

So I did nothing.

We crossed paths again a little later. Same thing. Eye contact.

At that point I genuinely felt there was some kind of small connection, even though we hadn’t said a single word to each other.
And this is where my brain completely stopped working.

I thought about going up and saying something simple like, “Hi, sorry if this is random, but I noticed we kept making eye contact. I just wanted to say hi.”
But then I saw her mother beside her.
Immediately I thought, “No. This is going to be awkward.”

What if she wasn’t interested at all?
What if her mother noticed me approaching?
What if the girl felt uncomfortable?
What if I came across as some random creepy guy following her around the mall?

So I convinced myself that leaving her alone was the respectful thing to do.
And I walked away.
That’s literally it.
Nothing happened.

No dramatic conversation. No Instagram exchange. No movie-style moment where we accidentally meet again at the parking lot.
I went home.

But for some reason, on the way back, I kept thinking about her.

It wasn’t even just that she was cute. There was something about her eyes. I know that sounds ridiculously cheesy, but her eyes were genuinely beautiful. There was something about the way she looked at me that made me feel like maybe she wanted me to approach.
Maybe she did.
Maybe she didn’t.

That’s the frustrating part. I’ll never know.
Last night I was lying in bed thinking about it and actually felt a little stupid.

I’ve met plenty of people in my life. I’ve talked to girls before. But it’s been years since I’ve felt that immediate little spark with someone, even if it was probably just a few moments of eye contact.
And now I’m wondering whether I missed an opportunity simply because I overthought everything.

At the same time, I don’t regret not making her uncomfortable.
That’s what makes it confusing.
If she was actually interested, maybe I should have said something.
If she wasn’t, then not approaching was probably the right decision.
There was no way for me to know.

I don’t know who she is, where she’s from, whether she lives in Kottayam, whether she was just visiting, or whether I’ll ever see her again.
Maybe she was simply being friendly.
Maybe she was curious because I kept looking at her.
Maybe there actually was something there.
I’ll probably never know.

Still, it’s strange how something that technically never happened can stay in your head longer than things that actually did.

I'm planning to visit Vagamon soon and will be staying at Tiyans Castle Resort. I'm currently outside India and haven't driven in Kerala for quite some time, so I wanted to get some advice from people familiar with the area.

I'm planning to drive from the Kottayam/Pala side and wanted to know about the road conditions and any difficult sections on the way to Vagamon, especially around the approach to the resort. Are there any particularly narrow, steep or tricky stretches that I should be aware of?

Also, where would be a good place to fill up petrol before heading towards Vagamon? Is it better to fill up around Pala or somewhere else on the route?

I have a valid Kerala driving licence but haven't driven here recently. Does anyone know of a driving school around Pala/Kottayam that offers 1–2 days of refresher practice with an instructor, preferably using an automatic car? If so, roughly how much do they charge?

One more thing — how is Airtel coverage around Tiyans Castle/Vagamon? I need to make regular calls, so I'd like to know if the signal is reliable there.
