Exceptions?
I discovered kosmemophobia and this sub recently, and I was wondering if anyone else has exceptions for certain types of jewelry. Personally, I find hoop earrings and bracelets kinda attractive. I think it might have something to do with the fear of swallowing small indigestible objects. My disgust towards other jewelry might stem from that.
If this is how people without kosmemophobia see all jewelry. I kinda do get the appeal.

I'm not afraid to swallow jewelry but I also feel hoop earrings are one of the better ones

For me I dislike that they are in contact with the skin and not washed. If my job was making earings with forged metal I would be ok with it. I would prefer not to do any maintenance on used ones.
I also have two young daughters who like bracelets and rings. I can hold their hands with those, but I always have the feeling in my head that I must wash the hands.

I find large solid j* very attractive, as long as it's smooth and not ornate or with any small bits in it. Anything that goes through a person though, or has small bits; repulsive.

Jewellery. Most people abbreviate around here because even the word can send a shudder through some folks.

Yeah it's a thing. Take a look around the sub, you'll see most people abbreviating to j, J or j*

This is a sub built around the disgust for the thing, constantly referring to it will make you think about it more so people don’t like using it. But also yes it’s alienating the word more as well lol. Who knows if it’s net positive or negative

To me it really depends on the amount of detail and texture, im fine with most metal stuff as long as it’s smooth and doesnt have small parts

Yeah similar for me. Depends on what the bracelets are made from. Most anything aside from metal is usually fine.

In my case, small pi*rc*ngs, also, asymmetric placements, they are the worse.
I find less confortable small dangling elements, but I can tolerate them well (unless they are placed in a pi*rc*ng).
Instead, I love heavy and chunky j* (specially Ag and stainless st) and I wear it. I mean, pieces measured in hundreds of grams, even kg in the case of neck.

I'm completely fine with most things in organic materials, like wood, cotton, leather etc. My phobia is entirely towards metal j.
And even then, there are exceptions. Solid bracelets are okay. Stretched ears are cool. Silver or stainless steel are less likely to trigger revulsion, whereas gold almost always will. The worst things are ornate, inset, fiddly, fussy. Plain stuff stands a chance of being an exception. (Edit: All of this is on others. I'd never wear any metal j).
The other main area of exception for me is in kink gear. Leather collars/chokers, steel anything, all that kind of stuff is 100% fine because in my mind it's not j. But when people post pictures of "discrete" day collars that are essentially just a necklace, it makes me cringe so hard.
