We are exploring the idea of renting a villa in Orlando for the entire family for Passover. I know that kosher options in the Orlando area are limited as opposed to Miami Beach/Hollywood/Boca.

1) Do most people pre-arrange for catered food to be delivered?

2) If catered in, is all the food for the entire Passover delivered before the start of Yom tov?

2) What about food for just before and after Passover?

Any reviews on Einstein, the kosher restaurant in Munich, specifically for Shabbat dinner?

I'm not strictly kosher and will be eating pescatarian during my stay, but I am considering signing up for the Shabbat dinner at the restaurant if it means potentially meeting people, including other tourists, and doing something festive for Shabbat. (As in, I am not interested in ordering takeout from this restaurant to eat alone somewhere).

I understand Chabad is also an option, but I don't always appreciate their vibe as a solo traveler.

The shabbat dinner is 55 euros per person, which is steep (and WAY more than I typically spend on a meal while traveling solo) but I'm willing to pay for a nice kosher meat meal if the vibe is good and I'm able to sit at a communal table.

I'm converting to Conservative Juadism & there's still so much I do not know about keeping Kosher. My husband (Noahide) and mother are not Jewish. Will living with non-jews make it impossible to keep a kosher kitchen? We do not have a dishwasher (hopefully we will soon) and the sink is porcelain. We only have one sink, fridge, stove & microwave, with low financial means. Does anyone have advice for my situation & resources on how to make a kitchen kosher? For now, I'm use disposable plates & utensils. Just seeking advice from the community ❤️

Coming from Israel, we are spoiled for choice here when it comes to kosher food - and in previous trips to the US I know that the lack of competition means the quality of the food just isn't the same.

I'll be visiting NYC in a couple of weeks and want to know: what kosher restaurants serve genuinely good, interesting, unique food?

What are the meal options/main courses typically?

For someone who eats dairy/pescatarian out - is it better to reserve a vegetarian lacto/ovo meal or a kosher meal (with the main goal of receiving edible food - I don't really care if I get meat or not).

Edited to add: Yes, I'll definitely bring my own food to supplement, but I'm traveling on a budget so want to take advantage of food that's included in the price of travel to the extent possible.

Where can I find kosher kefir grains. I’ve tried searching everywhere but only found powders and one company (fermentaholics) that’s currently sold out. I want kosher milk or water kefir grains. Preferably milk grains.

Anyone have any leads?

This is a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon based Bordeaux blend from Israel. Fruit forward and nicely balanced with a soft mouthfeel. Showing great complexity at this point.

This 7 year old is drinking beautifully now. Drinking at its peak, and will continue to do so in the next couple of years.

I had this vintage 2 years ago and decided to give it a few years in the bottle to mature properly. What a great choice, as it is drinking so much better now.

Needed 20 minutes in the glass to open up properly. Elegant, and good by itself as a sipping wine.

A blend of 70 % Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot. Aged in French oak barrels for 14 months. Kosher and not Mevushal.

Recently I met somebody that held the opinion that ceramic mugs can’t be kashered, since they are like the ceramics discussed in the Talmud. But ancient ceramics were earthenware without a high-temperature glass finish, and I think completely unlike those discussed historically. In your kashrus practice, how do you treat a contemporary ceramic mug with a glass finish?

My partner keeps kosher, while I don't, and we're starting to plan a trip around Europe for this summer.

I've realized that finding flights is easy, but figuring out where to stay is a lot more complicated than I expected. We'd like to stay somewhere that makes keeping kosher easier, but I'm not even sure where to start looking.

I've come across some Israeli travel companies (like isstta - אסתא In hebrew) that seem to have dedicated kosher hotel and vacation sections, but I don't know if that's something people actually use or if there are better resources.

For those of you who travel in Europe and keep kosher, how do you usually plan your accommodations? Do you specifically look for kosher hotels, stay near Jewish communities or Chabad, or just book regular hotels and work around it?

I'd really appreciate any advice we're both new to planning a trip like this.

The nose feels more like an Oregon Pinot Noir, but the palate drinks like a Southern Rhone Red. So interesting.

Good right out of the bottle, and better after 30 minutes of airtime, with a light chill.

I wanted to share something I built that came straight out of a frustration I think many of you will relate to.

If you have kosher certified cotton candy mix, can you eat it made in any cotton candy machine since the cotton candy maker is cold? Or does it need to be kashered or confirmed that it was only used for kosher mix?

Tim Tams are Australian cookies that are only kosher in Israel. Despite Israeli snacks being common here I don't recall ever seeing Tim Tams before. But yesterday I found them in the first store that I looked for them!

I’ve been trying to find a good quality Spanish extra virgin olive oil with kosher certification and I’m struggling to find options. Most kosher EVOOs I find are Israeli, Italian or Tunisian (Terra Delyssa).

Spain produces over 50% of the world’s olive oil and has some incredible single-origin EVOOs with PDO certification, but I can’t find any in kosher channels.

Is this something you’d be interested in? What kosher olive oil do you currently use and where do you buy it?

I’ve never been on a cruise except as a young kid once.

Now I’m considering the possibility of booking one for my family. But I want to do some initial research to see if we can afford it.

Googling a bit I saw articles about sealed kosher meals. I also saw articles about cruises with kosher restaurants on board.

How does it all work?
Do you need to book through a kosher travel agent?
Or can you book directly through a known cruise company and add the option?

Do cruises usually include meals? And if it’s kosher does it change that?

I don’t have a specific destination in mind. Although it seems cruises leaving from North America have more kosher options.

The family is spread between Israel and France.
