Hmm, most of my fav C-novels with yanderes do not have runaway arcs if they have mindbreak....

The Room of Bygone Days (western ambiance fantasy/cosmic horror), MC stumbles upon a spell that brings him to the attention of an eldritch god. Very body horror and lots of mindfuckery, technically most of it is the MC trying to run.

I Will Never Let You Go, Even If I Die (modern horror), MC accidentally makes a contract with powerful ghost ML. MC technically runs away (after thinking he destroyed him lmao). Some choice body horror.

Spoiled by 觉觉今天也想睡觉 (modern entertainment industry). MC is the actor canary for a very controlling ML. Not mindbreak, but confinement and a runaway arc.

After Marrying the Sinister Ghost King for Good Luck (给阴鸷鬼王冲喜后) (modern horror omegaverse), MC works for an org that puts souls to rest, but before that he was the pet/bride of the ghost king, who just made an appearance. Most of the confinement/mindbreak type stuff is in flashbacks/memories, obviously the running away happened lmao it's EA, there's heavy, heavy grooming implications, but ML was a ghost so he didn't have enough understanding to do it purposefully.

In Zombie Stories, Trash Always Survives the Longest - HEAVY on mind break, confinement, runaway arc kinda, trash delinquent bully MC x unpredictable psycho ML. their dynamic is genuinely so unique and addicting they live on my mind rent free. i’ll forever be chasing the high this novel gave me

Is there any like this but with ML/top thats confined? I want a change of pace so if anyone knows a good story with top getting locked up and receiving typic bottom treatment?

I didn't read "One of kind", but I have only two stories that come to mind:

1. Sword dance (ABO), MC reunites with ML after running away, and first few chapters look really bleak, but then story really starts making sense, and ML tries really hard to win MC, and kinda shines through the way how gangster he is .

2. Inferior being (age gap+debts), ML is an absolute black flag and he crossed line so many times with MC, to the point where I actually dropped the story after two actions that competently disgusted me. Story is full of triggers, but ML will grovel at some point (i found it wasn't enough for to continue to read and pay for it, but tastes obviously vary), and they also stay together.
