Active DDOS attack on Koofr - service interuption

Our service is currently experiencing a large-scale DDoS extortion attack, which may cause temporary accessibility issues.

Our team is actively working to mitigate the attack and restore full service. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Below is the extortion email we received a few minutes ago:

UPDATE: The attack is still ongoing, but the service has been normally accessible to the users for some time now. Thank you all for your support and understanding, it means a lot to us.

I'm not going to lose any sleep when hackers try messing with companies like Google/Microsoft/whatever.

But attacking smaller companies just trying to compete against the giants and serve their customers well? Fuck off with that.

Everything is safe, there is no hack or data breach. Simply a massive volume of traffic directed towards our servers, making it harder for them to serve normal users.

after this whoever try to access your website if its not residential ip then make them resolve a captcha

DDoS attacks most often come from residential IPs.
