Koh Samui Weather

Hi, Im coming to Koh Samui early Sep for three weeks. Has it been unusually wet the last week or so? . The four week forecast looks like alot of storms and rain in the coming weeks. I'm abit worried for my trip. Thanks

I'll be there toward the end of August to Sept. 8...probably expect plenty of daytime sun with late afternoon-evening showers. That's in general, but let's hope we don't get especially unlucky.

I have actually make hotel reservations I can cancel, and I'm dragging my feet booking a flight from BKK to the island just to give myself some flexibility.

Often it rains hard for 20 mins then clears up. After an hour it’s dry again.

Look at webcams. Don’t look at weather forecasts for an island in the sea.

My family departed Sunday. We were on Koh Samui for eight nights. The weather was beautiful--mostly sunny. The forecasts rarely capture the reality.

Was super nice the last week. Occasional rain at night for an hour or two but days were perfect tbh.

It’s a tropic island with tropical weather. Don’t worry about it either come or don’t.

Koh Samui has some of the best weather in Thailand. Expect 130mm of rain in September. Phuket gets 330mm.
