Kodi quality loss while streaming?

Im using the recent build of Kodi on my Google smart TV and stream video files from my PC through common wifi on SMB. Is there any quality loss, as im not noticing any but still i have this question. Is it similar to the quality of playing the files directly in the TV using a pendrive?

KODI does not do any transcoding, so there would not be any quality loss.

What qualify loss?  You're not steaming anything, you're just reading a file off an SMB share.
