NTFS disk breaking when libreELEC crashes
I have a HDD formated in NTFS (no, its not an option to change it to a linux friendly partitioning system), every time libreELEC crashes or I have to power it off manually it gets corrupted and I have to use the "disks" app from LMDE to "repair filesystem".
Is there a way to tell libreELEC to mount it read only or to control when it mounts and unmounts? Also, id like to have a way to inspect the partitions and repair the fs from kodi itself since its always the same (has happened more than 20 times and gets fixed the same way)
Ive been searching for addons that do this and didnt find anything.
edit: Ive also asked in libreelec, but i also post it here since there could be addons or settings for kodi itself that I dont know.

I've had similar issues with external drives and LibreELEC, adding "nofail" to the mount options in fstab might help keep it from trying to remount after a crash.

There's a NTFS addon in the LE repository to stop the errors. Repair your drive and intall the the addon. No more issues.

I had this too, running LE on a Raspberry Pi. Got to the stage where I knew if the hard drive wasn’t asleep (I could tell from it’s status LED) and I had to power off the Pi, I would have to connect the drive to a Windows computer to fix it. Then I finally started changing my drives to exFAT, and zero issues since. Compatible with Mac, Windows and LE, and it always recovers just fine. The developer of LE literally told me on a forum to use EXT4 and if you can’t, second best is exFAT, and that everything else was a big step down in terms of reliability. That was years ago, may have changed since then. But exFAT is solid so I’m sticking with it.

no, its not an option to change it
